ReLACS (Refractive Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery) is the world’s first cataract surgery utilizing the revolutionary laser precision found in LASIK for a more advanced cataract treatment and we are one of the very first centers in the region to have it. With this technology, we’re pioneering the next phase of vision at age 50, 60, 70 and beyond.

Millions of Americans suffer from cataracts. We offer this revolutionary new laser technology to make your cataract surgery more precise than ever before. This new laser cataract option, combined with one of our advanced intraocular lenses, may also restore your near and distance vision without relying on glasses, contacts, or even reading glasses. We are proud to offer the latest technology to offer each patient what they deserve in their cataract surgery - The Best

There are no eyes like yours and there is no cataract procedure like customized laser cataract surgery for your eyes. We are pleased to offer ReLACS™ (Refractive Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery), a bladeless, computer-controlled laser platform combined with the most technologically advanced diagnostics. This platform allows our surgeon to plan and perform your cataract surgery to exacting, individualized specifications unattainable with other surgical methods.

By adding computer control to key steps of cataract surgery, cataract treatments utilizing ReLACS ensure the highest surgical precision available today. When combined with advanced implant options for cataract surgery, ReLACS procedures may offer freedom from glasses, contact lenses, or even reading glasses after surgery.

Traditional cataract surgery has always involved the use of a physical blade to create several small incisions during the procedure. With ReLACS™, these incisions are now made with a laser. This technology allows our surgeons to plan and perform cataract surgeries with laser precision. With this advanced technology, surgeons experience more control and flexibility; plus, ReLACS™ features real-time tools for an accurate display of what’s going on inside the eye during the procedure.

The FDA approved LenSx laser system is the newest major advancement in cataract surgery. It is based on the same proven femtosecond technology used over the past decade during bladeless LASIK procedures. It gives your surgeon image-guided control and the ability to plan and customize every procedure to the unique characteristics of your eyes.

This advanced laser not only creates extremely precise cataract incisions and breaks up the cloudy lens for easier removal, but it also has the ability to correct some astigmatism with unprecedented accuracy and predictability.

Many patients return to normal activity the day after the cataract surgery. You can expect your vision to be crisper, clearer and for colors to be more vivid following your cataract surgery.

A vast majority of patients who undergo cataract surgery rank their vision as significantly improved. The benefits of better vision following cataract surgery include feeling safer, more independent, more confident and fewer orthopedic incidents!

Advanced Lifestyle Lens Options
Cataract surgery has undergone tremendous technological advances since the days of your parents and grandparents. No longer does the procedure simply restore your distance vision. Today, the goal is to enhance your vision with a premium lifestyle lens designed to provide you with a full range of vision while minimizing your dependence on glasses. During surgery, your eye's cloudy natural lens will be replaced by an artificial intraocular lens, or IOL.

Until recently, nearly everyone was fitted with a basic IOL that would provide clear distance vision but patients still had to rely on reading glasses or bifocals for a full range of vision. Recent innovations have led to the development of a variety of premium lifestyle lenses, each with their own unique features and advancements. These lenses can correct mild to severe astigmatism and also provide a greater range of vision - near, far and in between - to allow most people to function comfortably with minimal or no dependence on glasses.

Cataract Surgery Center Premium Lens Options: Full Range of Vision
Almost everyone over the age of 50 loses the ability to read comfortably without glasses due to a natural aging process called presbyopia. Vibrant people want to eliminate the cumbersome chore of wearing bifocals, trifocals, or simply keeping track of their reading glasses. Premium lenses and laser technology now offer a unique opportunity for patients to turn back the clock and continue to enjoy an active lifestyle.

Patients undergoing cataract surgery are excited to discover an experienced cataract surgeon offering multifocal lenses. A multifocal IOL is a type of premium lens implant that can restore your ability to focus on things at varying distances including tasks such as reading, cooking, threading a needle or tying a fishing lure.

Thanks to the unique combination of our expertise and skill, premium multifocal lenses and the advanced technologies of LenSx, our patients are enjoying outstanding results and regaining their youthful vision!
Cataract Surgery Center Premium Lens Options: Astigmatism Correction
Astigmatism is an irregularity in the shape of the cornea that distorts your vision and cannot be corrected with a standard lens. Although standard cataract surgery with a monofocal IOL may improve a your distance vision, the majority of patients still find themselves needing glasses due to astigmatism.

We offer multiple options to correct astigmatism during cataract surgery including minimally invasive, bladeless laser cataract surgery, premium Toric lenses or a combination of both!

For many patients these options will enable them to be glasses free for their distance vision after surgery.

During your cataract exam, our experienced team will help you determine which of the methods of correcting astigmatism may work best for you.
